Pacific Dawn

P&O Cruises Australia largest ship at 69,845 tons is Pacific Dawn who was once part of the Princess Cruises fleet cruising as Regal Princess. Famously, she was christened Regal Princess by the former UK Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher in New York in 1991. Pacific Dawn joined the P&O Cruises Australia fleet on 8th November 2007, when Cathy Freeman the Olympic 400m Gold Medallist christened her.

Onboard she has 795 cabins, 10 of which are suitable for wheelchair passengers. Of the 795 cabins 440 are outside, often called ocean view cabins while 171 cabins are inside cabins. Balconies can be found in 134 of the outside cabins. These balcony cabins include 14 suites and 36 mini suites.

Pacific Dawns profile was designed by the famous Italian architect Renzo Piano and onboard she boasts 9 bars, a jogging track, two restaurants, whirlpool spas a casino and a three story atrium among the numerous places for relaxation and entertainment. One of these is her show lounge; at two storeys high it can hold 740 people for each show.
