Onboard Coffee Appreciation Courses
November 4, 2008
Pacific Dawn; the first superliner in the P&O Cruises’ Australia fleet will celebrate her first birthday on 7th November 2008.
To coincide with this the cruise line is to offer onboard coffee appreciation courses which will be exclusively available from November 2008.
The coffee appreciation courses will see guests enjoy a variety of hands on coffee demonstrations and a selection of interactive lectures on each of the cruises. Each of the demonstrations and lectures will give guests an insight into all they need to and want to know about coffee.
Five crew members of P&O Cruises have undergone training to become coffee ambassadors. Their training will enable them to produce an exciting selection of coffee appreciation courses with some fantastic demonstrations. They will be able to provide guests with all the relevant information they need to know; including answering any questions guests may have.

Ocean Village Transfer to P&O Cruises Australia
October 30, 2008
Ocean Village Cruises is to be closed with the ships being transfered to P&O Cruises Australia, as the Carnival Corporation rearrange their UK based operation.
Even though Island Cruises has been sold by Royal Caribbean, this was not enough to save Ocean Village Cruises.
According to Carnival Corporation, the UK market will be better served with the current P&O Cruises fleet which is set to expand when Azure joins them in March 2010.
Cunard, one of the other Carnival Corporation owned cruise lines are also set to get a new ship, the Queen Elizabeth in 2010.
